미국 크리라이팅에서 출시한 PAR38

 

 

새로운 개발트랜드를 볼 수 있는 미국 크리라이팅에서 출시한 PAR38.pdf

 

 

 

CREE에서 크리라이팅이란 별도의 회사를 만들어서 두 번째로 출시한 제품입니다.

 

첫 번째는 등기구 일체형 4인치, 6인치 다운라이트를 개발해서 출시하였고 대대적으로 미국에서 프로모션을 한 것으로 알고 있습니다.

 

작년 10월말 홍콩 라이팅페어 때 아래 소개하는 PAR38 LED라이팅을 보고 역시 세계적인 업체들의 제품 개발 컨셉이 앞서가고 있구나 하고 생각했던 모델입니다.

스펙 몇 가지만 보고도 많은 것을 느끼게 합니다.

 

가장 많이 생각해 볼것은 세계적인 LED업체인 크리사가 LED조명 픽스처 사업에 뛰어들면서 제일 먼저 개발한 제품이 6인치 다운라이트이고 두번째로 왜 PAR38모델을 개발했을까라는 생각을 하게 됩니다.

 

아마 제일 많은 수요가 필요로 하는 제품군이 바로 이들 제품군이라고 판단한 것은 아니었을까요?

 

여하튼 한국업체들의 제품개발 로드맵 하고는 많이 다르다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.

 

제가 일부러 이렇게 CREE사의 PAR38 제품을 소개한 이유는 다른데 있습니다.

 

아래 사진에서 자세히 보면 알수 있는데 이 제품을 만드는 구성방식이 한국에서는 전혀 볼 수 없는 완전히 새로운 방식입니다.

 

히트싱크 구조물 안쪽은 반사율이 95%가 넘는 뛰어난 리플렉터를 장착하였고 파워LED 광원을 히트파이프로 공중에 매달아 리플렉터 방향으로 광원을 비추게 설계되어 있습니다.

 

방열은 히트파이트를 통해서 히트싱크로 전달하는 방식입니다.

 

소비자 입장에서 볼 때에는 휘도가 높은 LED광원을 직접 노출되어 있지 않아 눈부심을 막아주고, 공중에서 리플렉터 방향으로 빛을 비추고 반사된 빛으로 광원을 사용하는 방식입니다.

 

이 방식의 제품을 이번 홍콩 라이팅페어 때 처음 보고 앞으로 이러한 방식의 제품들이 다양하게 보급되는 트랜드로 만들어지겠구나 생각해 보았습니다.

The LRP-38 combines numerous technical innovations, including breakthroughs in optical design, electronics design, mechanical design, and thermal management. The core innovation is a new way to generate white light with LEDs.

The technology is elegantly simple, yet incredibly effective. It delivers high efficacy light with beautiful, warm color characteristics by mixing the light from red and yellow LEDs. This approach enables active color management to maintain tight color consistency over the life of the product. In addition, the LRP-38 utilizes a revolutionary LED component that miniaturizes the technology into a compact package.

Effective Thermal Management

The long life of an LED product depends on effectively controlling the operating temperature of the LEDs. Employing an integrated thermal management system including heat-pipe technology, the LRP-38 is designed to effectively transfer heat and keep the maximum LED temperature at or below acceptable levels –

even when installed in a worst case environment.

Unprecedented Aperture Appearance

The LRP-38 uses a unique optical design, enabling an unprecedented aesthetic. The lamp initially directs the majority of flux to a precisely formed reflector that, in turn, redirects high quality light into a tightly focused beam. This approach allows the majority of light to be delivered to the intended target with minimal waste. The result is a lamp with significant light output and very low surface brightness. The LRP-38 optical design lets the observer focus on the illuminant, not the light source.
